Belec is a german medium-size enterprise
with the place of business and legal seat in Georgsmarienhutte near Osnabruck
which was founded by Willy Berstermann in 1986. |
| 1972 | Willi Berstermann invents the first portable emissions-spektrometer for analysing steel. |
| 1978 | BERSTERMANN LABORTECHNIK is founded - a 2-person enterprise with some assistants |
| 1986 | Belec is founded by Willi Berstermann, Jurgen Berstermann and Jorn Thielking. The first instrument, the BELEC 2001 was the smallest and lightest mobile spectrometer in the world at that time. |
| 1987 | Belec presents the first mobile spectrometer which can measure carbon. |
| 1992 | The belec compact plus takes the place of the BELEC 2001. Smaller dimensions,lower weight, and an improvement of exactness are the advantages of this new development. |
| 1994 | Belec presents the first mesuring probe for an exact analyse of phosphorus and sulphur in the world. |
| 1996 | The first fully automatic testing system for analysing steel inclusive carbon and a tact of 15 seconds for 100% testing on finished products is installed. |
| 1997 | Belec develops and produces the first belec compact port with 24 measuring channels maximum. |
| 1998 | The Belec Vario Lab substitutes the stationary laboratory spectrometer
BELEC 2000. Characteristics are new design variable equipment as well as intert-gas flushed optic. |
| 1998 | At the exhibition "MTQ" Belec presents the first belec compact port with a double spectrometer. Although the dimension is relatively low, 36 measuring channels can be installed. Therefore the belec compact port is a small light-weight spectrometer of only 17 kg capable of exact analysing metals. (Fe, Ni, Cu, Al, Co, Sn, Zn, Mg and cast). |
| 2000 | Belec makes new standards in the mobile analytic of carbon! The use of the PMC-technologie improves the accuracy, reproducibility and the detection limit. |
